Fenugreek adalah ramuan herbal yang telah memperoleh reputasi sebagai afrodisiak. Dalam pengobatan tradisional Cina, fenugreek disyariatkan untuk kelainan ginjal dan masalah-masalah terkait seperti sakit punggung, penyakit hati, kehilangan libido, impotensi, ejakulasi dini, testis sakit, hernia, nyeri haid, gejala menopause, limfadenitis, mikroba dan jamur inections dan edema dari kaki. Dalam Pengobatan ayurveda itu digunakan untuk peremajaan, sebagai afrodisiak, diuretik, untuk keluhan pencernaan, dispepsia, batuk, kolik, bronkitis, sembelit, encok, rematik, elargement hati dan limpa dan sebagai penambah payudara.
